“Live a life of love, just as Christ loved us” Eph 5v2.
Living Hope is St Mary’s response to Jesus’ call to love our local and global neighbour. God has given people different passions and interests, so, many different projects flow out from our desire to put our love into action.
Our regular events include a Lunch Club, Epping Forest Foodbank, Job Club, Hope Supper our monthly community meal and New Wings prison ministry. Saved! is our food waste project. We support Samara’s Aid, who work in Syria, through a yearly clothing collection. You can find out more on the relevant pages of the website.
We can reflect our love for our neighbour through our lifestyles. We are forming groups which consider how our actions effect other people and the environment, and how we can ‘speak up for those who can’t speak for themselves’.
We believe that prayer changes situations and helps us to understand the heart of God. Join us in praying for Living Hope projects (3rd Tuesday of month, 10.30am, Evans room), Epping Forest Foodbank (1st Tuesday of month, 10.30am) and the persecuted church at our monthly prayer meetings (3rd Monday of month, 12.45pm).
Jesus offers us life transforming hope and so we love to share the good news of Jesus through our projects.
